Chromebooks

Each student will be assigned a chromebook to access digital resources. Students will log in using their school email address. To find a student's email address and assigned chromebook view the assignment sheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15m9OrulpCV6cQ5fHa8ebS7PJ9Yv8-vh_HuhCFOHMBoE/edit?gid=2024444634#gid=2024444634

    - What if a student doesn't have a chromebook assigned in the assignment sheet?
If there is an unassigned chromebook in your room's cart, it will automatically be assigned during the next sync (once daily, overnight)
If there are no chromebooks available, please submit a support ticket.

    - Passwords
Students up to 5th grade will all use the same password to log in. The password will typically be in the format 'yesfoxes{current year}' for example 'yesfoxes2023'

Students in 6th grade and up will set their own passwords which they will need to remember. If a student forgets their password it can be reset by filling out  the password reset form.  Passwords for new student accounts will follow the same format given above.

    - Common Problems

When logging in, the student gets a message stating that they're not authorized to use the device.
        * Double check the assignment sheet and ensure that the computer's tag (the 8 character code on the bottom sticker) matches the computer assigned to the student. Submit a support ticket if further issues occur.

The chromebook's screen is rotated, magnified, color inverted, etc.
        * The student most likely activated an accessibility option. Review the accessibility options and disable those required. Learn how to turn on/off accessibility options https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/177893?sjid=5642376256297163812-NC
