YES Charter Academy Headphone Policy
- Classroom
     Policies
- Each
      teacher may have their own policies for headphone use within their
      classroom. Students should prioritize and adhere to these
      classroom-specific policies before any school-wide policies listed here.
- Issuance
     of Headphones
- YES
      Charter Academy may issue each student one pair of headphones during the
      school year.
- Responsibility
     for Headphones
- Students
      are responsible for ensuring that their school-issued headphones are in
      working condition and available for use when needed.
- Replacement
     of Lost or Damaged Headphones
- In
      the event that a student's school-issued headphones are lost or damaged,
      additional headphones may be purchased through the office for $1 per
      pair.
- Personal
     Headphones
- Students
      may bring their own headphones from home. However, caring for headphones
      brought from home is the sole responsibility of the student.
- YES
      Charter Academy will not be able to offer assistance for personal
      headphones, including cases of loss, damage, or theft.
- Headphone
     Adapters
- In
      the event that a student’s chromebook is damaged or incompatible with a
      standard 3.5mm headphone jack, the student may be issued a 3.5mm to USB
      headphone adapter. Use of this adapter will be subject to the same
      policies outlined above.
- If
      the adapter is lost or damaged, an additional adapter may be purchased
      through the office for $5.
- Exceptions to Policy
- If a student or family believes a situation warrants an exception to this policy they may send a written appeal to appeals@yescharteracademy.org
- Exception requests will be considered on a case by case basis
