This article contains a summary of the websites and applications that a technician may be expected to manage or support.

Google Workspace

Description: Provides yescharteracademy.org student and staff user accounts used to log in to chromebooks, PCs, and google services. 

Account creation: Student accounts are synced over from powerschool with a custom script when a new student is enrolled. Staff accounts must be added manually.

Microsoft 365

Description: Used by staff to access microsoft office products.

Clever

Description: Provides syncing of teacher and student rosters from powerschool to some services.

Account creation: Synced from powerschool. Students must have an email address in powerschool for their information to sync over to clever. Login through google sso.

Powerschool

Description: Primary student information system. Student and staff information will typically be added here by the front office, then synced over to other services. Student state IDs must be synced over from CALPADS, the school contracts with another company (CSMC) to handle calpads related tasks.

Renaissance

Description: Used for practice STAR tests, online library and reading practice (MyOn, Accelerated reader)

TOMS

Description: Used to administer standardized state tests (CAASPP) and practice tests.

Account creation: Staff/teacher accounts are created manually. Student information is synced over from calpads every three days. Student access their accounts using their state issued IDs available in calpads (and powerschool once they've been synced over)l

Parentsquare

Description: Used for communication between the school and parents/guardians.

Account Creation: Syncs from powerschool. Staff can sign in using google sso.

Lalilo

Description: Reading practice for lower grades

Account Creation: Administrator account must be created by lalilo support. Staff can access using clever sso. Teachers can sync a class over from clever, but rosters won't sync automatically. The teacher must be logged in to both clever and google, so Adminstrators cannot initiate a class sync (https://yesacademy.jitbit.com/helpdesk/KB/View/52053803-syncing-your-roster-in-lalilo).
