Acceptable Use Policy for Staff Members

1. Network Access Policy
- Staff members are granted access to the school's network and technology resources for work-related purposes only.
- Unauthorized use of the network, including attempts to bypass security measures or modify devices, is strictly prohibited.

2. Use of School-Issued Devices
- School-issued devices (such as laptops, tablets, or smartphones) remain the property of the organization.
- Staff members must not modify these devices or attempt to remove security features.
- Upon termination of employment, staff members are required to return their school-issued devices promptly.

3. Employee Account Access

3.1 Password Requirements
- Staff members' account passwords must meet the strength requirements enforced by the organization's account provider (e.g., Google Workspace).
- Passwords should be of sufficient length and complexity to enhance security.

3.2 Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
- Employees with access to privileged information (e.g., student records, financial data) must enable 2FA for their accounts.

3.3 Access Control
- Staff members will be granted access to information appropriate for their roles and responsibilities.
- Access to sensitive data will be limited to authorized personnel only.

3.4 Confidentiality
- Employees must maintain the confidentiality of any privileged information they handle.
- Sharing login credentials or sensitive data with unauthorized individuals is strictly prohibited.

3.5 Account Deactivation
- Upon termination of employment, staff members' accounts will be deactivated promptly.
- Account information will be retained for 30 days for administrative purposes.
- Emails, messages, and files stored in the cloud may remain in the organization's records indefinitely.
